Ghost Guns
Posted on January 14, 2015 at 12:15 PM |
Last night I watched a Nat Geo show called "Ghost Guns." Ghost guns are untraceable, unlicensed, illegal guns. Many of them are hand-made in the Philippines by artisans who create guns that are, for all intents and purposes, identical to manufactured weapons. The guns are even inscribed with fake numbers and manufacturer marks. The guns are transported to the United States and purchased by criminals--gangsters, mostly, who use the weapons to rob drug dealers and to commit other crimes. As the weapon is used it leaves a trail of ballistic evidence. When it gets too "hot" the guns are often sold to criminals south of the border; Guatemala is a popular destination. Fascinating stuff...and so many potential stories. |

Nice job, manufactured weapons for the better purpose and identical objectives as well with elizabrownauthor blog. Making the more dealers and identified the criminals the improving the manufactured purposes.

This information made me sad, Guns are really dangerous. Licensed or not, it is still dangerous. The Philippines should stop producing ghost guns for other’s safety. And people should not purchase this kind of guns. If you are an owner of a gun, you should always be careful because in just a click, it can take away someones life. We should always think before we purchase things like this. Government should not allow this kind of business to avoid accidents and other crimes.
